Mt Elbrus ( 5642m) Expedition-2007

The Cypriot Climbing Club " KORFES"/"PEAKS" in association with Mountain Sports & Rescue Ltd organized an expedition to Mountain Elbrus (5,642) - highest mountain in Europe- on July 2007.

The team consisted of Andreas Tsamis,Charalambos Kapsalis,  Daina Miskouri, George Andreou, Nicos Kountouris and Zoe  Epifaniou. The  leader  of the team was Thanasis Kaisharis ( from Mountain Sports & Rescue Ltd) and the mountain  guide was Mrs Marina Ershova ( from Ersh Travel in Russia).

Prior to the ascent of Mt Elbrus the team  acclimatized in the Baksan and Adulsu Valleys by climbing
Mt. Cheget (3410 m), Mt. Viatau (3820 m) and Mt. Gumachi (3805 m).

George Andreou, Thanasis Kaisharis, Daina Miskouri, Zoe Epifaniou, Charalambos Kapsalis and  Marina Ershova summited  Mt Elbrus on 18 July 2007.
